OK, so there is nothing new about this. There are many suspension companies offering this service, however AVO are the only ones which can convert your struts to accept 40mm O/D Mono-tube inverted inserts, the type used on all professionally built competition cars.

We take your old legs, machine off the body from the hub/stub axle, replace this with a single piece machined body which is threaded to give adjustable ride height, this body is also made with internal "DU" bushes which support the Mono-tube insert. The inserts are available with single adjustable damping rate (both bump and rebound together) or double adjustable damping rate (independent bump and rebound via a remote canister).

Why Mono-tube?
If you look at all professionally built cars, they use Mono-tube inverted damper technology. The inserts are gas pressurised and use big diameter pistons, this gives much more accuracy with regard to damping control. The large O/D gives extra strength for high side load stress. The inserts piston rod is shielded from all road grime etc. so gives a much longer life expectation.
